Nature holds most of my passion and this shows in my artwork. I study quite fervently and don't show many large or flashy pieces. Though I do share occasional finished digital pieces, the majority of my artwork is hidden beyond of the reaches of Deviantart. I hope to change that and begin sharing more.

The Lifecycle of a Novel DraftThis article’s aim is to teach you how to draft a novel. That’s a pretty vague statement and begs a lot of questions. What’s a draft? What work or planning do you have to do before you start drafting? Can you just sit down and start putting pen to paper and expect a draft to miraculously show up? How many drafts do you need to write in order to get a “finished” novel?
First and foremost, a draft is simply a version of a manuscript, and there will be many versions along the way to a finish novel ready for publication (or whatever other plans you have for it). The purpose of a first draft is to bring your story kicking and screaming into existence—nothing more. It has to exist before your story can be molded and perfected into its final form. You have to start somewhere, and you also need a blank canvas on which to discover your story, a place where anything is possible and anything can happen. Writing Tips - How to Write Child CharactersLike most writers, there are many similarities and patterns that emerge across my stories. Some of it is author appeal - going into great details about locales, for instance. I’ve really come to like describing places, and clothing for some reason. Some of it is style. And some of it I’m probably doing unconsciously. It isn’t exactly a bad thing, although I am aware that if I don’t reel some of these things in at a certain point, they can get old and tired. However, one thing that crosses almost all of my works is that most of my characters are children.
I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything, but I think that I write children very well. At the very least, it’s what most people seemed to want me to do a writing tips on. And since this series had been on a hiatus for way too long, I thought that I’d take this one on. Because writing children… is a very easy thing to screw up.

Tutorials and techniquesQuite a lot of people keep asking me for tutorials and to be honest I see no point in creating yet another strip on how to paint skin/clothes/light/carrots/whatever. There are so many of them out there that it would be simply a waste of time to sit and basically copy what's already been told.
Instead, I've decided to make a compilation of different tutorials and charts that I personally use to learn how to paint.
The most important thing you need to learn even before starting to read a tutorial is that all walk-throughs are meant for you to understand how things work. My point is that after reading and later practicing a tutorial called 'how to paint a glass duck' you should be able to paint not only a glass duck but also anything else made of glass. You should concentrate on understanding the rules and patterns instead of trying to copy what you see on the image. Otherwise you'll end up knowing how to paint only a few things from only one perspective and one lightning pattern.
